Image Format Converter
Convert image formats without uploading your file
This image format converter runs on your device. It can convert JPG and PNG images, rasterize an SVG as PNG or JPG, and convert HEIC to JPG or PNG. The website uses a bundled HEIC decoder; the mobile app uses the device decoder. Your image stays on your device.
Resize while converting
Set a target width and height for JPG, HEIC, PNG, or SVG before converting. Maintain aspect ratio is selected by default, so changing one dimension calculates the other from the image dimensions. Clear it when you intentionally need an exact, stretched size. Output is limited to 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels on either side.
Choose how transparency becomes JPG
PNG and SVG can contain transparent or partially transparent pixels, but JPG cannot. The matte color determines the solid surface used behind those pixels. White is the default, and you can enter another six-digit hex color before converting.
Balance JPEG quality and file size
The JPEG quality control applies when converting JPG, HEIC, PNG, or SVG to JPG. Higher values preserve more detail and smooth gradients; lower values usually create smaller files. Compare the original and resulting previews, use the zoom controls to inspect details, and drag either enlarged image to move both previews together. Crop the original in a popup if needed. The crop is applied to the generated file, and the file size appears beside the download action. Use Download, the browser Share sheet where supported, or Save to Photos in the mobile app.
SVG safety and output limits
Uploaded SVG is parsed and sanitized before it is displayed. Scripts, embedded HTML and external resource requests are removed. Inputs are limited to 25 MB and 50 megapixels, while raster output is limited to 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels on either side.
Frequently asked questions
Which image conversions are supported?
The converter supports JPG and PNG input and output, HEIC to JPG or PNG, and SVG to PNG or JPG. The website uses a bundled local HEIC decoder; the mobile app uses the device decoder.
What happens to transparent pixels when converting to JPG?
JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent and partially transparent pixels are blended onto the matte color you select, which defaults to white.
Can I resize an image while converting it?
Yes. For HEIC, PNG, or SVG, enter a target width or height. Keep Maintain aspect ratio selected to derive the other dimension from the source image, or turn it off to set both dimensions independently.
What JPEG quality should I use?
The default 90% keeps fine edges and gradients clear. Lower quality usually creates a smaller JPG but may introduce ringing or block artifacts.
Are SVG files safe to preview?
The converter removes scripts, embedded HTML, external resource references and other unsafe SVG features before preview or rasterization.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Reading, sanitizing, rasterizing and encoding happen on your device. Image contents are not sent to Isobj or a conversion service.
Does the converted image keep metadata?
No. The new PNG or JPG does not copy EXIF, location or other source metadata. Keep the original if that information matters.
