Animated GIF Maker
Create an animated GIF from still images
Select JPG and PNG images in playback order and turn them into one looping GIF. All frame processing and encoding happen on your device.
Choose one size for the complete animation
Set the exact target width and height for every GIF frame. The tool supports output up to 1920 pixels per side and 4 megapixels, which keeps browser and phone memory use predictable.
Position every image separately
Each source image has a crop window matching the target GIF proportions. Drag the window to position it or drag a corner to make it smaller; it stays inside the image. Each frame keeps its own crop. Drag the frame cards to change playback order.
Choose a matte color
The matte replaces transparent source pixels in the GIF.
Set total or individual frame timing
Enter one total play time and split it equally across all frames, or set how long each frame remains visible. The displayed total updates from the final GIF timing so you can check the animation length before encoding.
Understand GIF color limits
GIF uses no more than 256 colors in this tool. Ordered dithering helps gradients and photographs, but some color changes are expected. The generated file loops continuously and does not copy EXIF, location or other source metadata.
Use Open on the website, or Take Photo, Photos and Files in the mobile app, to add frames. Crop opens a popup with a rectangle matching the output proportions. Drag the rectangle or its corners, save the crop, and drag frame cards into order. Download the GIF or use the browser Share sheet where available.
Frequently asked questions
Can each image use a different crop?
Yes. Open Crop on a frame to edit a crop window matching the target GIF proportions in a popup. Drag the window to reposition it, or drag a corner to make it smaller. The window stays inside the source image, and each frame keeps its own crop.
What does the matte color do?
The matte replaces transparent pixels because the generated GIF uses an opaque palette. The crop window determines which part of each source image fills the target frame.
How do I control the animation speed?
Choose a total play time to split it as evenly as the GIF clock permits, or set a separate play time for each frame. Individual frame times can be from 0.10 to 60 seconds, with a maximum total of 300 seconds.
Why can GIF colors look different from the original?
GIF frames use a 256-color palette. The tool applies ordered color dithering to preserve gradients as well as this format allows, but photographs still have fewer colors than JPG or PNG sources.
What are the current limits?
Choose 2–30 JPG, PNG or HEIC images. Each file can be up to 25 MB, with a 100 MB total input limit. Output is limited to 1920 pixels per side and 4 megapixels.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Cropping, resizing and GIF encoding happen on your device. Source metadata is not copied into the animated GIF.
